Mae is from a town called Littleroot. She has grown up there since birth. Everyone from the town knows her because of this- however, many other kids made fun of her. Mae was never interested in Pokemon. Her parents were successful and important "business" people. They would trade off Pokemon for a profit. They also ran several businesses across the region. Since her parents always had a busy schedule, Mae was mainly taken care of by her grandparents. She had a very, very close relationship with them-unlike the relationship she had with her parents. They would tell her stories of Pokemon and taught her to love

Nero is a fifteen year old boy who lives with his grandfather in Littleroot Town located in the Hoenn region. He lost his mom during the early years of his life, and his father has been missing since he was 5 years old, after going to a journey through the sea and had sunk the board.

An elderly gentleman with a soft smile took a seat next to his young grandchild in the comfort of their living room couch. His wispy white hair found a reassuring home in the hills of their aged couch. He closed his eyes and rested for a few silent seconds. Slowly, he peeped one eye open to look over at his curious grandson who wondered what his grandfather was up to.
"I've got an idea,"said the old man. The creases on his face seem to disappear as he smiled wide.

The MeetingLoud bursts of laughter could be heard coming from within the Reed household. The giant mansion was well lit and the smell of baked goods and a delicious meal drifted in the air.
“Mae, your father and I will be leaving for quite some time. You will be in the care of your grandparents now,” said a slender woman with dark shoulder length hair. She showed off the whites of perfect teeth. “Will you be okay, darling?”
Not even the quietest sound escaped from the timid young girl.
“Honey, your mother asked you a question, you should respond,” stated the gentlemen who sat across from the woman who spoke. He rubbed his freshly shaved face as he waited for a response.
“Maybe she’s just a little hurt about the situation,” a gentle voice said. It came from a beautifully aged woman who was cutting into freshly baked apple pie. “This is a lot to take in for her age. Darren had to deal with a similar situation when he was mu
Nero/Mae/(occassionally Roy, lol):Time to Part
As the bright sun touched the horizon, the sky turned beautiful warm tones with hints of pink and purple. Flocks of taillow and pidgeys flew over and created a nice gust of wind which blew leaves to surround and comfort the two teenagers sitting on a bench.
"-But Nero, you want to be a gym leader, raise Pokemon to be strong, battle many other trainers- you have so many great goals you want to achieve. I don't have anything," said Mae with a heavy heart.
"Mae…" The light blue haired boy was concerned about his close childhood friend.
"What can I do, Nero? My parents, they want to sell Pokemon for money. D
The Final Goodbye.“It's going to be so awesome once your a gym leader man!” Carter said happily. He swung his right hand onto Nero's back.
“Easy Carter! You'll break my back one day.” Nero grinned and readjusted his hat which started to slide off his head from the heavy pat.
“I can't wait to beat you. You managed to see Lugia, your goal was accomplished! I seriously need a goal too. I bet you'll be a gym leader in less than a year! You've got everything.”
Mae smiled in the distance at Carter. Although she was far away, he noticed her eyes were different. They looked sad and empty-and he knew it wasn't due to his departure. He attempted to push her buttons like he usually does to make her agitated.
“You've even got a cute cry baby by your side!” Carter said out loud. He wanted Mae to hear him from where she was. Carter elbowed his light haired friend. Nero looked over at Mae and tried to smile.

"Rena, could you grab the rolled up map on from the coffee table please?"
The freshly seventeen year old girl was excited for her own journey. She packed her backpack full of items such as snacks, notebooks, and emergency items.

Her grandfather's aging voice was coming from one of the bedrooms upstairs.

"It's almost done! Can't wait- I'm starving here!" exclaimed the young male. His black hair strands blew across this silver gray eyes. He wore a nice red shirt and stunning black tie under his jacket. He had just returned from an important business meeting. He was quite a handsome young gentleman. He took a few steps closer to Mae who sat with her nose buried in a book. "I really think you need to take a break."
She looked up to see the kind eyes of Roy Blackwell, a close family friend of hers. He was quite the treat for a woman's eye and he was also ambitious and very caring towards others. She smiled and placed the book down next to the marble Dragonite statue she was leaning on.
"Aren't you cold? It's chilly out here and you're leaning on that. Here-" He took off his green jacket pull over and walked over to her. "Arms up!"

"Hey.. Mae? Is that you?" called out the nicely dressed Roy Blackwell.
The male was wearing a black pin striped tuxedo that was nicely pressed. It was complimented with a white collared dress shirt and a satin red tie. His dark hair was styled and tousled with gel for the special occasion.
He had spent the entire night searching the crowd for Mae. He saw her silhouette from where he stood and was certain it was Mae.
"There you are. I haven't seen you all night. What are you doing out here?"

"Hey! Don't do that!"
Nero grabbed the letters that were underneath his trusty Pokemon and skimmed over all the words. He sighed.
"So boy, ya think I should finally mail all these out to the Blackwell household?"
Mudkip nodded innocently.
"She's never written to me… I hope she doesn't kill me the next time I see her for doing this. It could ruin anything she has between herself and any person right now. She's probably seeing Roy right now.. That's probably why she hasn't written to me. I gotta admit, he's good with the ladies.."

The cool breeze made Mae realize she was still alone on the grassy field. Roy was supposed to home back to his house the next day. Rena licked Mae's small tanned hands to remind her she still has her Pokemon by her side. She let her body rest against mother nature's green blanket and started to contemplate what her next course of action was.

Roy and Mae had just arrived in Sootopolis city. The wealthy young man had to arrange a private flight for them to travel in the city as it was impossible to reach the isolated island by other means of transportation besides water related ones.
